THE ULTIMATE LIVING SPACE FOR CHILDREN, BURSTING WITH AUTHENTIC ACTIVITIES
Designed by second generation owners to create the ultimate living space for children, the Kids Club is a pure and wholesome wonderland where every ingredient has been carefully considered
to form a playful and dynamic area that invites learning and experience.
Whether they are budding chefs, dancers, musicians, gardeners or perfumiers, there is something for everyone to enjoy and be inspired by. Children aged from 4 to 14 can partake in age grouprelated
activities run by a dedicated team of credited and qualified bilingual guides who radiate a service that reflects the traditions of the Marbella Club Hotel. Little guests can engage in a range of group activities, including: perfume-making using fresh herbs from the Kids Club garden; flamenco dancing taught by professional dancers in traditional costumes; mini yoga classes; and archery sessions to perfect their aim. Meanwhile aspiring chefs can cook up a storm in the Garage Kitchen, design their own pizza and learn how to create a delicious gazpacho or paella with a little help from the resident nutritionist whilst green-fingered friends can potter in the vegetable and herb garden; digging, watering and dancing with the sunflowers.
Regular visits from local experts include a special awareness session with a nearby Malaga animal association who bring small barn owls and eagles to teach the children about local wildlife.
Inspiring local artists also stop by to impart their various passions for sculpting or ceramics. For arty types, easels and pottery wheels await, and for the more active there are endless sport
and seaside activities including kayaking, stand-up paddle, tennis, sandcastle building and beach art – all infused with Marbella Club’s overarching ‘back-to-basics’ philosophy which embraces
slow and mindful living away from over-stimulating TV programmes, apps and video games caught up in the trappings of modern life.
Not forgetting smaller guests, children under 4 are welcome to join in activities with an adult or just to make use of the wonderful facilities and mini play studio filled with games and toys. Within
guestrooms, children are welcomed with mini amenities such as bath bombs, a “Never Grow Up” t-shirt, activity books and complimentary cots, whilst other amenities such as bath mats,
monitors, changing-tables, size-appropriate nappies, high chairs and bottle heaters are all available upon request, designed to take the stress out of travelling with little ones. Nannies and babysitters are also available on request.
Sitting under La Concha mountain, the Marbella Club enjoys a unique microclimate making it a destination of year-round travel that’s ripe for activities such as cycling, horse-riding, tennis and numerous watersports. Culture-rich Málaga and Andalusia sits on its doorstep and is home to a plethora of water and adventure parks, playgrounds, zoos, aquariums and historical sites. Ever-embracing of particular guest passions, on request the resourceful team at the Marbella Club can arrange personalised visits to local archaeological sites or museums with special music, science and art activities for children.
Adopting a naturally healthy Mediterranean lifestyle that cherishes the importance of family time away from the pressures of everyday life, group excursions include the white villages route through southern Andalusia, as well as Pilates or ‘keep fit’ for kids and young adults designed to increase strength, endurance and balance through a series of real-life body movements and fun activities.
After an energetic day, the chic and contemporary guestrooms at the Marbella Club - featuring elegant interiors and authentic local architecture – sensitively lend themselves to family travel. Interconnecting and adjacent rooms and suites are well suited for families of all ages and sizes whilst 2, 3, 4, and 5-bedroom Andalusian-style villas in the heart of the resort boast sun-soaked patios and flower-filled gardens, private heated swimming pools, fully-equipped modern kitchens and luxurious bedrooms. A 24-hour butler service is also available for selected villas to anticipate every family need for a spotless arrival and ensure guilt-free guest fulfilment during their stay. Expansive yet discreet, the villas allow for independence and flexibility whilst still providing the full benefits of a luxury resort.
Back at the Kids Club, the bougainvillea-lined courtyard provides a sheltered platform for children to enjoy a ‘Chill-Out Hour’ after a nutritious lunch, whilst relaxing on beanbags with a book from the library, their favourite music or a board game. Children can join for a half-day (10:00-13:00 or 15:00-18:00) at €60 or for a full-day timetable (10:00-18:00) at €90. A limited number of memberships for families are available on request. The club also transforms into an excellent venue for children’s tailor-made birthday parties, with a dedicated party planner, games, costumes and catering to make it the most colourful celebration yet.
Activities aside, the real allure of the Marbella Club lies in its boundless charm and the lively spirit that has evolved organically over time. It’s no surprise then to see three generations of families happily holidaying together without compromise; a testament to the owners’ commitment to maintaining the magic of its past whilst subtly innovating to meet the expectations of the modern traveller. And with legendary treasure hunts, dedicated evening barbeques, discos and movie nights for kids, there is no compromising necessary when it comes to having a good time.
