The Marbella Club Introduces ‘Wholeness’: A New Era of Holistic Wellbeing Rooted in Nature and Renewal

The Marbella Club has always been a place to pause, breathe and enjoy the beauty of the everyday. Under the helm of its second-generation owners, it has gracefully evolved into a place that captures the timeless character of an Andalusian village alive in technicolour and light—bougainvillea-lined paths, white façades, sun-kissed courtyards and hand-painted details.

Set across 90,000 square metres of botanical gardens and deeply rooted in the Mediterranean way of life, the hotel now introduces Wholeness — a renewed approach to wellbeing anchored in an ancient Chinese principle that gently supports the journey towards balance between relaxation and action. Its aim: to cultivate deep serenity and a revitalised, more vibrant sense of energy.

Coined “A Year of Wholeness”, 2025 will introduce a series of curated experiences each month, designed to inspire inner calm, physical rejuvenation and emotional clarity, while welcoming new spaces initially introduced during its 70th anniversary in 2024, that naturally expand the wellbeing offering the Marbella Club is known and loved for.

At the heart of this new chapter is the Herbal Spa, located within the Finca Ana Maria, the newly acquired land adjacent to the property that has been built into an interactive nature-led platform of gardens and communal spaces in collaboration with renowned French institute Deyrolle.
The new, dedicated spa is home to four signature rituals — Jardín de Flores, to bloom and glow; Alma Mediterránea, for vitality and detox; Cura de Aloe, to flow and smooth; and Ritual del Descanso, to relax and soothe. Designed as an opportunity for self-care beyond the traditional seawater treatments offered at the Thalasso Spa, the rituals bring together floral exfoliations, olive oil–infused detox wraps, concentrated aloe serum massages and herbal soaks, using a variety of medicinal herbs, plants and flowers grown within the finca, carefully selected for their therapeutic properties.

With the help of onsite practitioners, guests can also craft their own retreat within the finca, a chance to spend the day practising yoga in the shade, enjoying a picnic by the Heritage Garden and soaking in the afternoon sun by the pool.

Nearby, the new Ice Bathing & Sauna Cabin offers a private thermal experience for two, overlooking the Mediterranean Sea and the La Concha mountain.

To support this more intentional way of living, the hotel also welcomes Luminaries in Bloom — a new visiting calendar of leading wellness experts from around the globe. From mindful movement to aquatic therapy, energy healing, and Human Design, the residencies offer guests an opportunity for deeper self-discovery through a spectrum of healing modalities. Featured Luminaries include:
•    April: Pablo Olabe, Aquatic & Thalasso Physiotherapist
Combining underwater massage and advanced mobilisation techniques, Pablo’s sessions help release deep-seated tension in both the body and mind. Guests float into a meditative state as the therapies increase flexibility, restore postural alignment, awaken bodily awareness and improve sleep quality.
•    May: Antonia Pilbrow, Breathwork, Yoga & Meditation Expert
Antonia introduces the art of humming as a healing modality, allowing the natural vibrations to stimulate the vagus nerve and promote parasympathetic relaxation. Her practices guide guests towards a nervous system reset, using sound, breath and gentle movement.
•    June & November: Sanctum & Lisa de Narváez
The team from mindful movement company and nomadic global community, Sanctum will also bringing their transformative blend of Tai-chi, dance and meditation to the property. The Sanctum experience will offer guests the chance to cultivate inner stillness and elevate mental resilience in a fast-paced world. Breathwork specialist, Lisa de Narváez will also return for individual Blisspoint and Human Design coaching sessions.
•    July – September: Coco Maruno, Energy Healer & Kundalini Yoga Specialist
Over the summer, Coco offers deeply transformative rituals blending ancient techniques such as Tibetan Sound Healing Therapy, Reiki Therapy, Chakra Balancing, Japanese Shiatsu and Face Yoga.
•    October: Viktoria Grige, Master Kobido Facialist
Fusing centuries-old Japanese techniques with contemporary skincare insight, Viktoria performs non-invasive facial therapies that stimulate deep tissue layers. Her Kobido treatments restore facial contours, diminish fine lines and natural regenerate skin tone and elasticity.
•    December: Alexandra Demolling, Holistic Practitioner and Naturopath
Alexandra takes an exploration of Human Design, a personalised system drawing on astrology and the ancient I Ching. Her sessions provide insight into each guest’s energetic blueprint, revealing innate strengths, decision-making patterns and life direction, offering a powerful tool for self-understanding and awareness.

An intrinsic part of the Marbella Club experience, the above new launches join a host of other existing facilities and experiences, including bespoke in-room soundscapes by the OPO meditation app, a Thalasso Spa, padel court, personal training services, golf course, Beauty Studio, daily wellness classes and an equestrian centre.

Meanwhile, El Olivar by Chef Andrés moves to the Finca Ana María pool with a spontaneous and informal way of tasting the colours of the gardens, while the El Olivar Lab focuses on utilising the micro-ecosystem that is Finca Ana Maria, incorporating all 300 hundred varieties of fruits and vegetables on offer into an opportunity for upcycling, pickling, fermentation or drying in line with the hotel’s longstanding commitment to responsible eating.
